Abstract
A practical session for students starting out in tech. Evgeniy Patlan walked through where to find a first open source project, what counts as a useful contribution, and how that work reads on a resume when you are beginning your career. He drew on his own path from build engineering to leading a release team while staying active in Chernihiv — local conferences, course updates with the university, and student events.
