MongoDB in the Cloud: How to Reduce Infrastructure Costs Using Open-Source Components and Kubernetes. The cost of running a reliable and large-scale MongoDB environment can easily get out of control. Doesn’t matter if it’s because you pay for the license or utilize easy-to-use public DBaaS. The further you scale, the more you have to pay. To make things worse, there are multiple traps awaiting. Choices that seem to be initially not important may make a significant difference at scale. In this session, we’ll have a look at typical reasons for the costs of MongoDB infrastructure to get out of control as well as at practical approaches to be more cost-effective. All this with open-source components deployed on Kubernetes.
